Review of Bitcoin Answered
We hear about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies more often these days; nevertheless, most of us have no idea of what is it or how it works. Bitcoin Answered by Jon Law is the book to disperse all speculations and answer the most common queries about the subject.
Bitcoin Answered is a financial book true to his name. It is presented in question/answer format that makes it easy for the reader to navigate. It allows the reader to scroll by subject. The chapters are short and easy to understand. This manual answers all kinds of questions about Bitcoin, starting from its concept, creator, function, weakness, strengths, strategies, and future. Also, it provides an unbiased view of the financial implications of the use of Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. The author warns of various opportunities about the risk involved while investing in cryptocurrencies.
The most appealing aspect of the book is its straightforwardness and simple language. Without the use of complicated terminology, the general population can gasp the idea of the virtual currency and how it operates. The author uses graphics and images, which aids the reader in visualizing the ideas and understanding the concepts. It illustrates how the network works and the terms used for each part. Words like blockchain, wallets, algorithm, Bitcoin mining, nodes, Bitcoin whales, find a meaning and a purpose within the text. I find it very educational. I also liked that it includes a list of resources at the end, so you can get further information and the ‘Crypto Essential Dictionary’, which has essential terms and trading terms explained.
With the outburst of technology and the information age, and a virtual world, this decentralized network offers a secure way to make transactions. It performs well, even during a recession or a pandemic (As long as the network exists). I believe that still a long way to go before it replaces money. The only question I didn’t find an answer for was, what happens if the internet goes down, and it forces us back to the pre-internet age?
I found nothing to dislike about the book; it saves its purpose in a clear and straight-to the-point way with a neat layout. I didn’t find any typos or grammatical mistakes, and seems professionally edited. It is a short, meaningful guide into the virtual world of Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and trading in general. For all the above reasons, I rate Bitcoin Answered 4 out of 4 stars.
I would recommend this book to those curious about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. People looking forward to investing or trading with Bitcoin. Those who are looking forward to moving their hard-earned money into the virtual world, to be aware of their modus operandi, strategies, and potential risk.
