Adrift tells a story of sailors and their fate after a shipwreck. The Seattle Express was the ship that these sailors were on. Unfortunately, a fire broke out when a storm was troubling the waters. After failing to quench the fire, the sailors had to leave. And leave they did in two lifeboats. The sea, still troubled, turned them in every direction. They may never get home. It is also possible that they might. Many kilometers away, Larry saw this sinking ship as an opportunity to make some quick money for the benefit of his business. He pushes the Warhorse past her lately accustomed limit to get to the ship before its owners do. While it is possible that he will be successful, it is also very possible that he will fail.

I love it when a book portrays the experiences of its characters in a realistic way. It helps me connect with them at a depth that I always crave. The realistic way in which their emotions were described made me feel like I was reading a true story. It is always good when an author helps his or her readers connect with the characters. The author showed me what has been happening to some unfortunate sailors since man discovered that we can travel on the sea. He described the sounds of the waves, the sounds of birds, the voice of the wind, and the look of brokenness. He did all that so well that I felt like I was a god looking down on every event. This description should earn the author awards and praise. As for right now, that is what I like the most about Adrift.

This novel was written by Charlie Sheldon. Having read his books, I knew to expect a brilliant story and a whole new development from this novel. One of the themes that I saw was the dangers of being unable to control a fire on a ship. It made me understand that nothing should be overlooked when one prepares for a journey. A small spark can, after all, result in a big wildfire.

I didn't dislike anything in Adrift. After investing my time and energy in reading this novel till the end, I sat down to write out all that I liked. It turned out that I liked everything. The description is a no-brainer since I have already mentioned that. The plot connects nicely throughout the story. And it was interesting. An audiobook of this novel would be great.

Adrift was also edited exceptionally well. I know, from my experience with Charlie Sheldon prioritizes paying attention to every line and sentence when editing. I didn't despise anything in Adrift. I now rate it four out of four stars. It is an adventure novel about sailors. I recommend it to fans of that genre and storyline.
