Review of The FBI Inspector
The FBI Inspector by Jay Dubya
The FBI Inspector by Jay Dubya is a great detective crime book with a collection of short stories. The short stories include both murders, thefts, frauds, explosions and so many others. Each story captures the mind of the reader and they are very much captivating. The book contains great stories which contains great puzzles which are solved by the FBI Inspector Joe Girallo and his team of loyal agents: Agent Art Orsi, Agent Salvatore Verladi and Agent Dan Blachford. This book contains a unique ability to hold the reader captive until they finish reading the book. The book seems to follow a very unique convention of writing a detective fiction by leaving the reader eagerly awaiting for the next part.
The book is amazing and mostly the stories and how detective Joe's mind works while solving the crimes. It helps the reader understand how a detective mind works and what key features to look while solving a crime. The stories that I liked the most in the book include Coarse Code communication,Missions accomplished, Business before Pleasure and The Thirteenth Victim. The stories kept me intrigued all the time and the suspense of wanting to know what is going to happen next and how are they going to solve the problems was so fascinating. The stories are focused mostly on intellect which is the basis of any detectives quality but how inspector Girallo puts his mind and focus to solve the cases is amazing. He connects the pieces and the contributions and thoughts from his fellow comrades to get the key motive and determine who is the criminal. I liked the way the comrades bonded with each other and new about each others private life well enough which means that they connected together not just like coworkers but like family. I liked the use of the term comrades-in-law as a description of the four. The effort they make as a team is enormous. They have a sense of unique humor and they are very much amusing. I liked Salvatore the most because no matter how tough the situation is, he will always combine his intellect with some sense of humor and the way he makes sarcastic comments almost all the time is hilarious.
The stories that I did not like in the book were Multiple choices and Holiday Hooligans. No matter how good the storyline was I just did not get the thrill that I got like from the other stories. The stories did not grip me and make me keep turning the pages. I also did not like how the Inspector Girallo always kept his team of three agents mostly in the dark until the end before sharing with them the full details. It was like he liked getting the glory to himself until the end before sharing with the rest of the team.
The book was amazing and I would recommend it to both younger readers aspiring to be detectives, older readers also because it gives you some thrill to keep you from getting bored. I would also recommend it to those who like crime, mystery stories and thriller stories. The books highlights how much work a detective does and how much time they sacrifice just to solve crimes and keep the city safe. It is not an easy job for it requires hardwork, intellect and dedication. Though the book is all about detectives and how they brainstorm to solve a particular crime, it never gives the details and action of how they tackle and arrest those criminals. This is also another thing I did not like.
I am going to rate this book 3 out of 4 because the stories are quite fascinating and it captures a reads mind till the end.
