[Following is a volunteer review of "Demon Freaks" by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison.]
The rise of a new dawn rises the darkness of the valleys. And in this new dawn, we witness a battle between two forces of darkness, evil meets evil. The Servants Of Darkness are at it again with their truest enemy, the Golf club association. Both have one purpose and one true goal, to keep the dagger within their circle and utilize its true power. The night is set ablaze by lightning and thunder as the battle of doom begins. A night that was reserved for studying for four friends, Bing, Ron, Meat, and Katlin turns into a night of horror, where one atrocity follows the other, and calamity falls upon their gaze. A sacrifice is the ultimate order of the night, and human blood shall be shed to summon evil never before been seen. The innocent lie amazed as darkness roams around the Earth.
Demon Freaks is a horror-comedy told from the first perspective. The book is set on supernatural power and the plot is of a paranormal nature. The setting of the book is gradual and involves various places, and the book revolves around a dark tone involving underground investigative work. The main theme here is dark power, betrayal, and deception. The book features a number of characters and a specific plot. The author went on to craft the plot in a horrifying and yet hilarious manner.
One thing I enjoyed the most about this book has to be the humor as it made it a fun read, I also enjoyed the thrill here as it made the book very enticing. Something that I also appreciate is the author’s writing style, as it was simple to read and understand. J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison worked hard in compiling this book in a simple and momentary manner. There is absolutely nothing I did not like about this book, and I did not find a single error in this book which has led me to believe that it was exceptionally edited.
There is very light use of profanity in this book, and there are no scenes of any disturbing or graphic nature. I rate this book a four out of four stars, and this is because it was exceptionally edited, humorous, and easy to read.
I recommend it to anyone of appropriate age who finds paranormal content intriguing, anyone who’s up for a good laugh, and everyone who finds great pleasure in horror-comedies, suspense, and mystery.
