Get ready for a fun, fascinating, and exciting journey with Inca, Fromage, Cara, Terrence, and their mom. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the eighth book in the Diary of a snoopy cat: The Inca Cat detective series. This family goes on a trip to South Korea as their mom is selected to be a judge in a French patisserie competition in the country.

The story starts with the exciting news of the competition their mom has been called to judge. The family gets ready and flies into South Korea. As expected, this family does not fail to serve us with drama. Right after alighting, they lose their mom's cheese. Their dog, Terence, and his mates work really hard to get it back. They later do the noble thing of reuniting their host with his sister in the neighboring country. This is all opined in 119 pages and nine chapters represented by dates.

I applaud the author's creativity in this book. The conversations, scenes, and locations in the book are perfectly imagined and presented to us. I loved the author's style of writing too. Kristi uses simple language while incorporating various figures of speech. The use of words such as 'purrrfect' to refer to Inca's personality was creative and effective. The direct quotations in the book also make it more engaging and lively.

The plot development in the book was perfect. One event led to another and they were connected flawlessly. This makes it easier for children to understand the stories. The characters were also perfectly matched in terms of their personalities and attitudes with the animals they represented. Terrence the dog, for instance, came out as caring, daring, and loyal. I also loved that the stories incorporated a lot of aspects of culture. There is nothing negative I could point out in the book.

I, therefore, give it a perfect rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Not only was it well-written but also perfectly edited. I did not find any errors in the book. I'd recommend it to parents looking for educative, fun, and exciting books for their kids. It will certainly fit children between ages 5 and 10.

This is very accurate, and it is not very often that you see such a job well done, especially in children's book.
