Review of Man Mission
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is an autobiography about fifteen years of adventurous trips by the author with his three best friends, Sam, Daniel, and Alec. This series of adventurous trips was named "Man Mission."
The Man mission was an annual adventure that spanned fifteen years. Hiking, kayaking, trekking, cycling, and camping were among the activities undertaken by the author and his friends. It was an idea from the author himself and was later started by the author and his best friend, Sam. It later became a tradition and an annual trip for the author and his three best friends. We got to see the types of people the author met, his experiences with them, and his reactions towards them. For instance, his experience with the drug dealers in New Zealand and how they turned out to be different from what he had expected them to be.
The book did not only recount the annual adventurous trips of fifteen years made by the author and his best friends. It also recounted their private lives, albeit brief. The author told us about his life: how he gradually built his life, the mistakes he made that ruined his life, and how he was able to stand, correct himself, and finally discover himself and what matters in life. The author showed us what life is and could be for a man from a closer and deeper view, how the way men are viewed together with what is expected of them could affect the mental health of a man.
I had so much fun reading this book. I like how the author wrote this book in simple, clear, and easy-to-understand English, making it feel like I was reading his diary and seeing life how he saw it. I love how relatable the book is and how I connected with the author. I enjoyed following the author to the different parts of the world and having an idea of the location and places he and his best friends went to for the Man Mission and the kind of people who reside there. Most of all, reading this book gave me ideas of places I could go for adventurous trips.
I enjoyed every bit of Man Mission and I got to learn new things, such as things that could go wrong in a marriage and how too many expectations can affect a man's mental health. However, profane words were used in the book, and not all readers tolerate profane words. Apart from this, I found no other negative aspects in the book. It was exceptionally well-edited, as I found no errors.
It was an awesome experience reading this book, and the author did an excellent job of properly structuring the plot with indications to allow for a smooth flow of the storyline with appropriate descriptions; therefore, I give this book a 4 out of 4-star rating. The author did an outstanding job with this piece.
I recommend this book to lovers of adventure who would love to read about another person's adventures in different parts of the world. I also recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good book and isn't afraid of a few profanities and a little bit of sexual encounter.
