[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
Have you ever read a thrilling book about pets? Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F Kristi is about that, and she appreciates the complexity of pets.
This is an interesting book on pets and their relationships with humans. A detective agency set up by a group of kitties and headed by Inca, has been involved in solving many mysteries, and we're famous for that. It is an agency of seven kitties named Fromage, Cara, Monk, Charlotte, Terrance, who is a brave doggy, Polo, and Inca, who heads this detective agency. Missy owns the kitties. Mom was selected as one of the judges in the French patisserie competition organised by 'Le Cordon Bleu' to be held in South Korea. It was also an opportunity for mum to present her cheese. Mom took her kitties and her cheese as they traveled to South Korea for the competition, where they met Enzo, another French chef, at the airport. What could Mom possibly have done after her cheese was stolen? Grab a copy for more interesting stories.
I like this story so much. This book seems to promote peace between countries. The patisserie competition was to be held at the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone), which is a border that divides the Korean peninsula in half, creating north and south Korea. Two prominent leaders were coming and different people all over the different countries. This could be a form of creating national unity, peace and coexistence between the two countries. This competition pleased the pets as Baram will reunite with her childhood friend Bo-Mi, and the visitors would be pleased to meet such a beautiful kit. How did they go about finding Bo-Mi?
I disliked nothing about this book. I couldn't get my eyes off this book till i got to the very last page. This book could be used as a bedtime story for children. While going through my shelf to select a book, I was struck by the title of this book. The title may be weird, but the author seems to have done a great job of justifying it. This book talks about pets and the Korean peninsula and seeks to promote peace. The author chipped in with many interesting ideas about the Koren peninsula and also promoted the need to love and cherish our pets. They are beyond animals and are our friends and companions. It's a book that would be loved by children, especially with the pictorial representation, which makes it more fun to read. This book could be a great script for a movie.
I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. While reading, I detected no errors, which shows that this book is exceptionally well-edited. I would recommend this book to lovers of pets and children's books.
