[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
What if you could embark on trips so far-reaching that they span the whole globe? These adventures range from Andalusia in Spain to Tokyo in Japan. Even better, you have your friends accompanying you on these quests. Man Mission is a travelogue tinged fiction authored by Eytan Uliel. The author has described the boyish exploits of a group of jovial friends in this novel.
Man Mission has been structured into three main sections. These sections have chapters named after the places visited by the protagonist and his merry band of friends. The arrangement of this novel's content is methodical and straightforward. The book begins with the 'The Man Mission Charter'. These missions are annual vacations undertaken by the narrator and his friends. They often include long hikes through dense forests and kayaking through remote ravines.
I liked Man Mission for several reasons. The best part was the detailed expositions of the places the characters visited. I loved the vivid descriptions of the characters' adventures around the world that Uliel has included in the content of this novel. Additionally, the author has written about the characters very well. Daniel with, his penchant for logical decisions never, ceased to amaze me. All the missions were adventurous and dangerous. Yet, Sam's grit and determination see him through. After journeying through the pages of this book, I learned many new things that I want to implement in my own life. About dislikes, the protagonist's name has been mentioned just once in the whole text of this novel. This issue caused me minor inconvenience. I shall not reveal his name in my review and let the prospective readers discover it themselves.
Man Mission is a roman-à-clef or a novel in which real people or events appear with invented names. It also has lots of friendly banter in the conversations between Sam, Alec and Daniel. Therefore, I recommend it to every bibliophile who likes reading about globe-spanning travels and adventures. Furthermore, this book will also appeal to those readers who explore the fiction genre. The author has represented the details of his characters' exploits around the globe minutely. Consequently, avid travellers will find this book a resourceful asset.
This book isn't very lengthy. Hence it was easier for me to maintain my focus till the very end. I couldn't find any grammatical or punctuation errors as well. Therefore, I deem this book to be exceptionally well-edited. In conclusion, Man Mission by Eytan Uliel deserves a perfect score of 4 out of 4.
