Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a sweet children’s story about a Siberian cat detective named Inca. Our furry Sherlock Holmes is already famous all over the world, and this time, she is ready to showcase her detective powers in Sri Lanka.

Inca’s humanoid mom, Missy, has decided to spend the holidays on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. Who wants to wallow in the dreary weather of London? Hence, our furry friends are more than happy to bask in the warm sunshine of the tropics. While enjoying the bliss of beautiful beaches, Inca and Company meet two new friends (ahem, two new recruits): Meena, a baby elephant, and Rani, a turtle.

A case of stolen antiquities from the Colombo Museum brings Solo, along with his detective dog, Terrance, to Sri Lanka. And Inca is more than happy to lend her expertise, or rather, take over the case. We get to see our furry friends in action and enjoy the picturesque beauty of Sri Lanka.

I will rate this wonderful book four out of four stars. I have no negative comments about this sweet book. Much like the previous books, the story teaches children about a new land (in this case, Sri Lanka) and is quite educative. The illustrations are colorful, and children will be enthralled by them.

Meena and Rani’s addition was fun; children will learn about details like turtles’ long lifespan, their slow gait, their food habits, and so on. The content is perfectly suitable for children of all ages. The book is also professionally edited, and children will learn new words like trishaw, nattering, scrumptious, etc.

This is the seventh book about Inca and her detective escapades, and I am becoming quite addicted. If you are looking for a fun children’s book that has good morals and useful information, I will heartily recommend this book and this entire series. Even adults like me will have a blast reading this book. I learned new information about Sri Lanka: it has at least eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and it is the home of the world’s oldest living human-planted tree. If you like animals, colorful illustrations, and fun stories, just go and grab this book without a second thought.

I found your review enjoyable and made me want to read the book once more! I recommend you read the next book, as the author changes some aspects, like the simplicity of words so children can have an easier time reading it, and the font. Thank you for the heartwarming review!
