[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Eytan Uliel's novel, Man Mission: Four Men, Fifteen Years, One Epic Journey, is a unique and creative narrative that is not just an ordinary travelogue but a complete definition of manhood, explaining friendship, adventure, and their significance at the same time.
A group of four Australian friends are described in the book: Eytan, Sam, Daniel, and Alec. While Eytan, Daniel, and Alec have been friends since grammar school, Sam joined the group during law school. Every year, the four of them have a tradition of taking a week off from their professional and family duties to explore a country of their choice. It's not just an ordinary vacation but an adventurous one. Eytan and his friends set themselves challenges, such as ice climbing when they visited Iceland, kayaking during their visit to Thailand, and cross-country biking when they visited South Korea and South Africa, where they came across lions face-to-face.
The one week vacation has been their tradition for fifteen years. The trip has helped them strengthen their relationship and escape the daily stress they face as a father, husband, coworker, and more. This tradition helped them renew their sense of manhood among their families and friends.
Honestly, this is one of the greatest novels I have ever read. The characters are well developed, and the dialogues are fantastic. The author of this book had exceptional writing skills and seemed to be an accomplished traveller and a talented writer.
I love how the author tells the adventures of Eytan and his friends in such a fascinating way. The experiences are detailed to imagine every event as if I were travelling with Eytan and his friends. I like the way the author captures my attention in the first sentence of the book, which gives me the first impression that I will enjoy the book, which I did.
In this book, I wouldn't say I like how the pictures appear and how they are aligned. I wish the author could make it look more colourful and attractive than it is.
The book is easy to read and understand, with no errors. I find it to be well-written and edited. The author professionally prepared this book.
I recommend this book for young readers who enjoy well-written and adventurous novels, as it contains many well-narrated adventures.
Based on the author's narrative skills, the uniqueness of his story, and the easy readability of the novel, I give this creative piece of literature a 4 out of 4 stars rating.
