[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Want to learn how to become a man? Do you enjoy adventures and traveling all wrapped up in a unique and satisfying storyline? Then, you will probably love Man Mission. Man Mission by Eytan Uliel tells the story of four men and their journey through life in the midst of changing circumstances. It is a series of adventures organized every year in which four men could move away from work and stress and simply become men. It was originally put together by the narrator (name unknown) and his friend Sam and for the first man's mission; they went to New Zealand. Although they faced some challenges along the way; they seemed to enjoy it and before long, Daniel and Alec joined them. It eventually became an annual event where they could relax and do certain things outside their comfort zone without societal pressure.
The man's mission consisted of fifteen trips across different parts of the world. They went to different places such as New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, China and many more. They also engaged in activities such as biking, trekking, kayaking, hiking and even a safari ride.
There were many positive aspects worthy of note from this book. It was satisfying to see how the topic of the man's mission evolved with time from career talks to baby talks, changing diapers, dealing with cheating and divorce, and many more. This shows that things are bound to change over the course of the year and that some are unavoidable. I like the map at the beginning of every chapter too. We could already get an idea of where they would be going and the means of transportation they would use.
Between each mission, we were also exposed to what was happening in their daily lives and the way they dealt with it. At the end of the book, we could see that the mission itself was a healing process and readers could learn a couple of things from their experience. The author has pointed out that being a man is not as easy as it seems. It involves a great deal of effort behind the scenes. We were also exposed to the challenges that come with the title and the best way to deal with them or not to deal with them.
It was clear that this book was professionally and exceptionally edited. I could not find any negative aspect nor did I come across any spelling errors or grammatical errors. The author did an incredible job in this book. I had no other choice than to give this book a rating of four out of four stars.
I recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good adventure and travel stories. This gripping novel will have you on the edge of your seat and provide a wide range of emotions as you become immersed in the storyline.
