[Following is a volunteer review of "The Pocket Guide to Minimalism" by Katy Moeggenberg.]
There are a lot of tips that are written to help people understand what minimalism is all about, but only a few know the basic concept of minimalism. The Pocket Guide to Minimalism by Katy Moeggenberg is a non-fiction book that will guide anyone hoping to adopt the minimalist lifestyle to becoming not just a minimalist but an effective one. This is a book of 64 pages with six chapters that will keep you engaged.
Minimalism, as the author explained, doesn't necessarily have to mean eliminating television, the internet, or staying in a small home. Minimalism has to do with eliminating unnecessary clutter in life to live a clean and inspiring life. Living the life of a minimalist won't just save you unnecessary stress, but also help in making the world a better place. As a minimalist, you would learn to do away with things you don't need anymore, like clothes, books, and personal care items. The author would not simply tell you what to eliminate from your life; she would also provide you with guidance on how to do so. This is a good book to help you understand what minimalism is all about.
This is a very nice book that would teach a lot about life. To be candid, this is the first time I've read about minimalism and I never knew how peaceful living a minimal lifestyle could be. While reading this book, I couldn't help but imagine what the world would have been like if everyone in this world were living a minimalistic lifestyle. I also like the fact that the author made it clear that just because you live a minimalistic lifestyle doesn't mean you should impose such a lifestyle on the people around you.
I was so engrossed in this book that I found nothing to dislike about it. I am now considering becoming a minimalist. I admire the simple lifestyle that comes with it. The author kept this book brief and simple so that she wouldn't bore her readers. The path to becoming a minimalist would also help you remove greed. If you are looking to adopt a lifestyle that would keep things easy and simple for you, I would urge you to look into minimalism.
I am going to give this book nothing less than a 4 out of 4 star rating. This book was exceptionally well-edited. The book lacked errors. I would recommend it to people hoping to adopt a minimalistic lifestyle.
