Review of Bitcoin Answered
Bitcoin Answered by Jon Law and Alan John serves as an explanatory guide for those with no prior knowledge of the world of cryptocurrency. This title chronologically addresses numerous aspects of bitcoin, helping the reader build on previous information discussed in the book, allowing for a stronger grasp and better understanding of the content. It does, in subjective honesty, feel like a smoother and friendlier version of the For Dummies collection, which is a heart-felt compliment to the writers.
There are countless positive aspects to this book. The chronology of the book serves to build on information discussed in previous chapters which serves to set laymen like me at ease with its content. I found the use of relevant art, illustration, and graphics incredibly useful and also, that it set my non-financial mind at ease from any anxiety about what I have always found to be a complex topic. The writers provide succinct summaries at the end of the questions-based chapters, all of which become an important source to maintain the information to memory and refresh points that are better understood with the summaries at hand. Each chapter is thorough enough to provide a solid grasp of a concept, yet also succinct enough to hold the reader’s attention without having them feel overwhelmed with the information. In the annexure of the book, as well as in some of the respective chapters, one finds many additional resources with additional information which provides broader and more in-depth information, should one wish to expand one’s horizons even further. I found the compilation of the title truly commendable. It not only addresses the popular questions surrounding the digital currency, but also ones that the reader may not have thought to ask: ones which completes the title in the most thorough of manners. The topics included in the book highlight both the larger problems as well as the minor concerns, these include the commonly used acronyms and slang and stretched through to the reading of various Bitcoin charts and diagrams. Just to give the interested reader an idea, it even addresses the capitalization of the word.
I did not identify any negative aspects to the title. I am not knowledgeable on the theme and can only speak to my knowledge and experience of the book. I have but one thing to mention: there is an Audible version available. As I read the written version, I listened to the Audible version too. When doing this I found that the Audible version was well adapted to suit an audiobook, yet I found the fault that this version did not include an accompanying PDF. Without the visual availability of the charts, graphics and illustrations, I would recommend that the audio version not be the first experience of the title: it is simply not as in-depth and comprehendible without the perks of the visuals.
I hereby rate this title a full four out of four stars. All facets of the editing felt excellent and only lent to a pleasant experience reading the book. There were no typos in the book, nor did I identify any error with the Audible version thereof. The information was well put together and relayed understanding of the topics with ease. The use of diction and language was constructed in a way that did not overwhelm the reader nor did it feel forced.
I recommend this book to any person of any gender within a grasping intellectual age who seek to learn and discover the world of cryptocurrency. I would venture so far as to say that even younger teenagers would be suited for this title.
