Grab some popcorn and ice cream because Inca and her crew are back with another adventure in this thrilling, standalone book. R.F. Kristi's Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is the eighth book in the Inca Cat Series.

Inca and her crew have got their work cut out for them soon after their holiday in Sri Lanka. This time they travel to South Korea for a French patisserie competition organized by "Le Cordon Bleu". Inca's mom was selected to be one of the judges for this competition. She is also presented with the opportunity to present her new cheese, which she nicknames "La Crème de la Crème". This competition is a special one as it is held in a neutral zone and consists of chefs from both South Korea and North Korea. This time the crew will have to protect the cheese from sabotage by a dubious man named Enzo. They also have to help their tour guide, Ye-Jun, with his sister, Ji, and this mission leads them into North Korea. Hurry up now and get a copy of this thrilling adventure book.

I just read the seventh book in the Inca Cat Series before reading this book, and I must say that I am as impressed with this one as I was with the other one. Perfection is the right word to use to describe this book. One thing I love about the books in this series is their adventurous nature. It is also very suspenseful and makes the reader's attention glued to the storyline. It also leaves the reader yearning for more. You can't read this book and not want to look for the next book in the series. The book is a rare gem for children because of all the positive qualities it possesses. The characters in the book were well-developed. They portray positive values and encourage the reader to be happy.

There was unquestionably nothing I disliked about the book. The characters in the book always make friends and work together. This will teach children about the importance of friendship and togetherness. The book also gives the reader an insight into the nature of other places. The exciting things in South Korea were shown, as were the people there. Another thing I like about the book is that it shows that most of the time we need to take action to help people we consider friends, and that friendship will always be valuable when everyone loves and cares for each other deeply and equally.

The book was professionally edited. I only found one minor error in the book. Still, the storyline was perfect and well-written. I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to young children.
