Review of The Altitude Journals

[Following is a volunteer review of "The Altitude Journals" by David J Mauro.]
Regardless of how happy a person is, they will still reach the lowest points of their lives. This is the unfortunate reality that we all live in. When David J Mauro falls to his lowest point, his brother-in-law asks him if he would like to attempt to stand on the highest peak in North America. In a journey where David is out of his comfort zone, The Altitude Journals is a book that gives us a glimpse into the progress that he makes as he realizes his potential.
In The Altitude Journals, David effectively shares how the journey to each summit is a different one. Each climb provides a different perspective on life and it will require a varied amount of dedication, perseverance, and a change in mindset. Every location he goes to has its own story, and David guides his readers with a writing style that leaves his audience at the edge of their seats. We read as the chances of danger wait behind him, and we read as David explores the culture of the continents he visits.
I would highly recommend this book to fans of biographies. This was an insightful and interesting read, and it will teach others more about themselves. We read as David meets people during his climbs, and every single person we meet is on a journey of their own. Moreover, I would like to recommend this book to anyone who dares to take the challenge of climbing the seven summits.
There was nothing I did not like about this book. It was exceptionally edited, too. In a ride that makes readers cheer for David, this is a book that gives us a deep dive into the journey of a life we could have (if we are ever called to it). With the perfect blend of people, culture, politics, and everything about life, The Altitude Journals is a splendid read. I rate this book four out of four stars.
I love how the equipment was described, and I loved that this was easy and entertaining to read. David’s writing style is a pleasure to have come across, just as his story is. This is a book that would evoke emotions from its readers, and I do not doubt that someone out there will find their inner strength, courage, potential, and self upon reading this. David has done a great job in writing this novel and the climbs.
