Review of Of the Earth

[Following is a volunteer review of "Of the Earth" by Kim Cousins.]
There are talks about supernatural events, unexplainable and extraordinary occurrences that happen beyond our natural ability or power, and talks about the end of time and all it entails. of the Earth is book one in the clashing kingdom series by Kim Cousins. It has 27 chapters that explore the lives of several people and animals, their relationships, and how they manoeuvre through difficult situations.
The United States had fallen, and with a new regime taking over, the peacemakers took it upon themselves to eliminate anyone refusing to go along with it. Going through the peacemakers and other adversities led the people against the new regime to meet up and build new relationships. These groups of people and animals, with their beliefs and bravery, try to overcome kidnapping, diseases, and plagues. They also experience miracles, save their fellow believers, and fend for themselves. They also try to protect themselves against a gang of outlaws who participate in trafficking humans. While going through these adversities, find out if they will hang on to their faith and belief in God or if some will derail and give up on this path.
Of the Earth is one book that I couldn't stop reading. It was just so captivating. I loved the fact that the author incorporated Bible quotes into the storyline. The animals' talking was also quite fascinating. I liked that the author gave every character their backstory, how they built their faith, and the events taking place in their separate lives. It was so easy to relate to them and love them. It is a gripping book that I could not keep my eyes off.
There is nothing to dislike about this book. Although I would have loved to see more communication and storyline among the animals presented, I would also have loved to know more about what became of them and how they settled down. Apart from that, I loved the writing style because it was top-notch, and the book was professionally edited, as I found only a single error while reading. My reading was smooth as it was a minor error that a re-edit would easily correct. I would certainly rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for being so captivating and for many other positive reasons.
I would recommend this book to believers and people interested in the Bible. People with strengthened faith and people looking to strengthen their faith are also welcome to read. If you are a lover of adventure and you have a penchant for fantasy, then I would recommend this book to you.
