Review of Did you know

[Following is a volunteer review of "Did you know" by Ashok Bhaskaran.]
Not many children know how most of the technological equipment they see today came about. A lot has improved as compared to what our forefathers used in their time. Did you know? by Ashok Bhaskaran is a book that helps educate children on how far technological advancement has come.
It was Jason's birthday, and he was gifted a tablet. Then he reminds us that the first tablet was made 3000 years ago. He didn't just stop; he went on to tell us how televisions, telephones, light bulbs, and a whole lot of other things were made, who made them, and the circumstances surrounding their use before they came to public use. Men like Thomas Edison, Graham Bell, and a host of others brought technological advancement, and they didn't achieve this on a platter of gold. They worked even when they were being criticized, and this made them stand out from the rest of the crowd.
This book is a short read of 29 pages, yet it holds a great deal of information. Most adults don't even know what this kid was saying, and this is a result of their not reading educative books like this. At first, I was thinking about what I could learn from a nine-year-old, but after reading this book, I have come to terms that we can always learn from anybody, no matter their age. The author also went on to educate us on the dangers of water pollution.
There was nothing to hate about this book. The pictures in the book were good and helped in conveying the author's message. I read about a lot of inventors, but the man who invented modern-day television awed me. I can only imagine how he was able to keep his head cool even when he was tagged as a madman. I hope that I end up like this man and do something that will inspire children.
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was exceptionally well-edited. There wasn't any error. I would recommend this book to people who love reading children's books.
