Review of Man Mission

[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Eytan Uliel’s Man Mission tells the story of him and his three friends as they embark on annual trips. Adventures, food, different cultures, and interactions with nature abound on these trips. It began as a simple get-away, but it developed into something more profound, even therapeutic. From the seemingly innocuous activity of cycling to the potentially hazardous activity of kayaking, these men were there for one another. They learned to mature as individuals, as friends, and even as family members. Travel with Uliel and his friends on their fascinating and adventurous annual rituals; you might find the location for your next adventure.
To begin with, I believe the author’s goal in writing this chapter of his life was to share his own experiences in the hopes that readers would learn from his mistakes and make better decisions. I can confidently say that he accomplished his goal after reading the book. I admire how he was able to stick to it and not get sidetracked from his goal. I must commend his efforts because he was successful in doing so.
Also, Uliel’s narration of their adventures drew my attention. He took a straightforward, simple, and direct approach. He took me to places I’d never heard of before. I liked how the author described each mission in detail. He was able to paint his pictures quite vividly in my mind. At times, it felt like I was in a movie theatre, watching the events unfold.
Furthermore, the summaries provided after each mission aided in highlighting the major events of the mission. Those details were sometimes amusing, and I couldn’t help but smile. There were no superfluous details in the story; every detail was important. Uliel could have left out some details about his life, which would not have detracted from the message he wanted to convey. The fact that he included those details about his life and the lives of his friends added to the book’s depth, fullness, and appeal. This book is the “complete package,” in my opinion.
Finally, the author’s account taught me many valuable lessons. I admire his ability to glean lessons from each story. I was able to gain a broader perspective on life through his and his friends’ eyes. Their spoken and unspoken words gave life a new meaning and expanded my understanding of the term “life.”
There was nothing I disliked about this book. It was error-free in my opinion. I must praise the excellent editing work that was done on it.
This book had nothing to dislike about it. It was a well-written piece. The author’s messages were communicated and well received. I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.
I recommend it to anyone who enjoys adventure and travel books. There are numerous instances where profanity is used. As a result, it is not suitable for children or those who are offended by excessive profanity.
