A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is one of my favorite non-fiction books and it does not disappoint. The book's cover is lovely. It persuaded me to take it up and read it. The book's title is also convincing. Actually, I was looking for an inspirational book to read when I came upon this one. The author wonderfully wrote the book in such a way that I vividly envisioned everything as the author intended.

This fascinating story is based on the life and work of the book's author, Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. While growing up in Algeria, a country under French colonial rule at the time, he lived an eventful existence. He worked hard and studied as a medical student in France. The positive aspect of the book was that he conducted research that drove discoveries that changed the field of biological sciences after graduating as a doctor. As a revolutionary ambassador fighting diligently to regain the heritage of his country Algeria as a liberation fighter, he had a goal of aiding people and future generations.

For security reasons, he bravely escaped the nation and settled in Côte d'Ivoire. Later, he became a diplomatic advisor to the president of the country in order to promote international peace. After disclosing the secret of the president of Somalia taking over the port of Berbera from Russians, he was detained by the president of Somalia.

I liked the author's writing style in this intriguing novel. He utilized both first and third person perspectives in his story narration. When he talked about his close friendship with President Houphouët, I could hear the people in the book chatting. The usage of dialogue added intrigue to the plot. There was no aspect about the book that I did not enjoy. Grab a copy of this book and read it to learn more about this story.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is because the book was motivational and had a captivating title that piqued my curiosity. In addition, the author had a superb writing style. The plot of the story was engaging and flowed smoothly. The characters were well-rounded and intriguing. Subtitles and page numbers were also included in the book to aid comprehension of the storyline. The author employed simple language that allowed the story to be easily understood. I found no grammatical and spelling mistakes while reading the book.

This book is recommended for anyone interested in politics and diplomacy, particularly in post-colonial Africa. People who are interested in history and want to be inspired and enlightened about peace and humanity should read this inspirational book because it is a book about a journey toward peace, unity, and independence.
