Review of A Brighter Tomorrow

[Following is a volunteer review of "A Brighter Tomorrow" by Lori Schneider, MD.]
A Brighter Tomorrow is a poetic collection by Lori Schneider. It was conceived amid the chaos caused by the pandemic. The writer, a beginner in the field of writing, started by narrating how her journey of writing began and also emphasized the need to never underestimate the power of putting pen to paper. Going forward, she explained how the pandemic had caused a great shift in the systems of the world today. Hence, she emphasised so much on matters related to love, hope, social and racial injustice, and togetherness. According to her, having these factors in check at all times will make the world a better place.
I loved the ideas presented in this book. Though it's a short collection of poems, I found in-depth meaning in it. Lori clearly expressed her feelings in an amazing manner, which can brighten up anyone's day. No wonder she said that poetry is a device that can illuminate the soul.
I was so overwhelmed by how she put the content of this book together. Various aspects, including love and hope, were considered. Also, she was full of praise for the medical doctors who stood their ground in ensuring the troubles caused by the pandemic were annihilated. Everyone had a role to play, and the health workers and scientists performed their duties nicely. At some point, she reflected on how life was before the pandemic, which brought hope that things were going to be better again. But it all comes down to individual participation. We must show love to one another in the aftermath of this crisis to live peaceably. Moreso, she encourages youth out there who are not in support of bad governance. These are young people that know what they want in life and go for it. As a result of this, there is a future and hope for those that will take the mantle tomorrow.
A Brighter Tomorrow is filled with motivational words. I didn't dislike anything about the book. The writer did a very good job of arranging the content. I also loved the artwork that was incorporated, which made reading the book more exciting. I'm proud of Lori for the fact that this was her first piece of work. Furthermore, I think the content of the book must have been professionally edited, as I found minor errors in it. I give this book a rating of four out of four stars.
I recommend this book to lovers of poetry and art, as they will find its content enthralling.
