The Party Line by Dennis D. Gagnon is both an intriguing and insightful book. I could not really wait to complete it and write a review of it. The novel was so enticing that it drew me into vistas of psychology, philosophy and science as it traced the development of ideas in a lively and humorous manner. The author made even the most difficult intellectual concepts understandable. He accomplished it in a unique method that made the plot interesting. The book's cover was also appealing.

Though the deep ideas of the book were scholarly, the book's positive aspect was the accessibility of the plot's concepts which were accessible and eye-opening on many occasions. The author's writing style was conversational and it flowed well from page to page in a thrilling manner hence engaging me. I enjoyed the book and did not find any negative aspects to it.

This intriguing novel is based on the party line theory of consciousness which includes numerous philosophical and scientific theories that blow minds with better ideas and imaginations. The novel follows the personal journey of an elderly gentleman in 1971 when he was still relatively youthful. He set out to learn the secret facts of the world's functioning and ended up accidently discovering a gateway to another realm. He lost his dear friend D.'s in an unending conflict of voices condensing into increasingly more powerful forces while striving to grasp the working connection between the two realms through experimentation.

His quest to seek revenge as requested by his friend's spirit gave him entry into the aethereal realm. However, he experienced difficulties in adhering to the new norms and laws. He failed to make sense of the linkages between the aethereal and the everyday despite his best efforts. He was fascinated by external issues such as free will, the essence of reality, philosophy and religion eventually engaging in thought-provoking philosophical debates on the causes of pain and God's presence. The plot depicts a battle between good and evil involving ghosts, dragons and monsters. Get a copy of this intriguing story and read it to find out what occurred.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for the reason that the author expressed his ideas in a straightforward and understandable manner. He also used dialogue and crafted situations that flowed well together to move the tale forward. It was also professionally edited. While reading it, I discovered no grammatical or spelling mistakes.

I recommend this fascinating book to fans of science fiction who are interested in philosophy for the reason that it contains mind-blowing ideas about philosophy, religion and reality.
