Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the eighth sequel in the Inca Cat Detective series. The book is all about Inca, a super-duper detective cat, and the other detective agents as they try to help their family and friends solve cases concerning them.

As the gang gathered in Solo's mansion to admire a beautiful painting and share a meal, they got word that their mom had been selected to be one of the judges in a competition to be held in South Korea. On reaching South Korea, they got a case of a missing cheese bag. They also met Ye-Jun, a tour guide who lived with his dog, Baram, and they found out that Ye-Jun wasn’t feeling his best self. He needed help getting his family back to him. Find out if Inca and the other detective agents will succeed in finding the cheese bag, be of assistance to Ye-Jun, and, at the same time, enjoy the competition.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is a fun stand-alone novel filled with adventure, teamwork, and unity. The author did a good job of introducing the cats, their breed, and their personalities at the start of the book, making it even easier to understand the characters. The author gave us a glimpse of South Korea, from the buildings to the scenery and food, adding to the adventure part of the book. There were many lessons to be learned, like teamwork, perseverance, and courage, which I found essential, as it is a children's book. The visual features provided in the book were detailed and fun to look at. It also made the reading clearer and more understandable.

There was nothing to dislike about this book. I enjoyed every bit of it. Although the words used in the book were quite advanced, seeing as it is a children's book, it is still a very enjoyable read. It was professionally well-edited, and I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for all the positive reasons mentioned.

I would recommend this short and easy-to-understand book to children. If you like heartwarming stories and if you love animals, then this book is definitely for you.
