There are various talks, books, and movies on multiverse and dimensional worlds. The Party Line is a book by Dennis D. Gagnon that talks about his life, encounters, and experiences between worlds. It touched on philosophy, psychology, science, geology, literature, and mystery.

The author and his friend, D, had been friends for years and engaged in lots of adventures as youngsters. They mostly helped in attacking people bullied by others. The author discovered the ethereal world and its connection with the real world. He found out that things that occur in the ethereal world will also be affected in the real world. D, his friend, also happens to enter into the ethereal world. The only difference is that he is not conscious of it. Therefore, he is liable for danger. Dennis now has to protect his friend from harm in the ethereal world. Will his efforts be enough? Read this book to find out.

The author wrote the book in the first-person narrative, and the author reflects on his adventures in 1971. The author is a well-seasoned writer as he uses powerful words and metaphors. The part where he likened life to a scripted comedy play reminds me of the saying where Williams Shakespeare compared the world to a stage. The story was well-described such that if carefully read, it creates pictorial images in the reader’s mind. The story took me to different realms that the author experienced. The book contains dialogues, action, lessons and teachings, and themes of adventure, myth, dilemma, and philosophy. The author excellently explained the subjects in the book.

The story contained twists and turns and references to renowned writers, people, and religions. The book talks about the party line theory, explains the existence of gods, and talks about meetings with aliens and supernatural beings. He also spoke on the relationship between the actual and the ethereal world. His friend’s predicament was a perfect explanation of this relationship and how both worlds affect each other. The book was like a science-fiction novel with different worlds and dimensions. The author tried to find meaning in everything around him.

The book was more like a philosophy textbook with a story in it. It contains lots of professional jargon like ethereal and extrasensory, but it was too much and did not go well with me. It slowed down my reading process as I had to take time to understand each word before I continued reading. It was also challenging trying to deduce the meaning of the book’s title. However, these are not enough to deduct a star from this book’s deserved rating. I found only a single error while reading, which shows that the editing was professional.

I rate this book four out of four stars for the above-mentioned positive reasons. The structuring, language, and diction show that the author is learned and is into the business of research and writing. I recommend this book to lovers of books on extraordinary beings and ideas. Philosophers, scholars, and academics would find this book intriguing.
