Review of Murder in the Garbage

[Following is a volunteer review of "Murder in the Garbage" by Jerry A Greenberg.]
Murder In The Garbage by Jerry A. Greenberg is, undoubtedly, an enthralling book narrated primarily through the character of Hank Boucher, a former military man who has turned to investigative work. Hank serves in the army for a number of years, and after one fatal mission, he decides he has had his share of fun with the army. Changing from a military man to a civilian is not an easy task, and he doesn't want to lose his hard-earned skills from the army training, so he decides to join something more related.
The book is absolutely thrilling and filled with suspense, keeping the reader on toes trying to find out what is going to happen. My favorite character in the book is Hank; I think it's because of how his character is developed and very diverse, from being a military man to being an investigator. At one time, he perfectly fits another totally different character while undercover working with a garbage collection company that is suspected to be selling high technology weapons to Mexico. It's a huge syndicate cooperating with some military guys and even the local police department. The author does not disappoint, and the book is absolutely a must-read.
I immensely applaud the editors of this book, as I did not find any errors. Without a doubt, this has added to the overall beauty of the book. I also love how the author utilizes suspense and flashback to keep the reader interested, starting from Hank's times in the army to the current events. Throughout, I could not stop thinking about who was behind the theft, the connection of a garbage collection company with a military base, and how the intended missiles ended up in Mexico.
There is nothing, in particular, to dislike about the book. It is well written, edited, and really entertaining. My only concern is that, though absorbing, the plot is very brief; it's only 188 pages. I would have loved it if the author had taken the reader to Mexico through the character of Hank Boucher. We also don't get to know what happens to the culprits in Mexico.
I would rate the book 4 out of 4 stars because of how well the plot is written. Equally, the characters are well developed, and the flow can not confuse the reader. It's also really nice how the author utilizes suspense. I would recommend the book to people who enjoy fiction and crime.
