O Persaud's poetry collection Shitolian. Beautiful, funny, and thoughtful poems were included in the collection. The author expressed his thoughts on various topics such as racism, music, violence, and emotions such as hatred and happiness. Shitolian, The Creator, The Colony, and Punctuation were the four sections of the book. The book includes poems about his experiences, his father's words, and a short story about a girl named Paige. The writer humorously stated what he thought of each punctuation mark in the punctuation section.

There are numerous aspects of this book that I adore. I'd begin with a sense of humor. I admire the writer's ability to incorporate a sense of humor into poetry. It was stunning. I appreciate how straightforward each poem is. They weren't particularly long or wordy, but the message they conveyed was profound. I have several favorite poems in this book, and I can't even begin to share them with you. These poems are filled with wisdom. Even though I disagree with the writer on punctuation, I admire his point of view. I laughed when he wrote about the hyphen, and I love how he wrote about exclamation marks in capital letters.

There was a poem on happiness and worry. It said happiness wasn't a pursuit but a parachute and worry was just a hole that didn't fill anything up. So when we feel that we're falling we should use the parachute which is happiness. That's a poem I'm going to be holding on to for a very long time. Paige's story was quite touching and a little sad for me, but I suppose it's the reality of life, which is something else I enjoy. It is about real life, not fantasy or bluff. I found no grammatical errors while reading this book, so I believe it was thoroughly edited.

There's nothing in this poetry collection that I strongly disagree with. It had some strong profanity, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the book. A section near the end of the book contained some extremely difficult words. Most of them required a dictionary to understand. Although this slowed my reading, I did learn a few new words.

Shitolian by O Persaud gets three out of four stars from me. It was a good read with no grammatical errors. It was worthwhile to read and not a waste of time. This is the first novel in a series of poetry collections. It has broadened my appreciation for poetry. I'm excited to read more.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys poetry. People with a good sense of humor will enjoy this book as well. Shitolian may not appeal to readers who are offended by vulgar or profane language. Anyone planning to read this book should approach the first page with an open mind. And keep it that way until the very end.

This book seems like a book that's borne out of frustration. However, I like that the author was able to wrap his frustrations in humorous writing. This is a wonderful review.

This is a sincere review. It is warm and does not make the amount of profanity felt. The poems definitely have meanings beyond the profanity that accompany them anyway, so it falls on the reader to find these...

I loved the honesty and transparency of the author. Although some themes were confusing, ultimately, they were enjoyable.
