[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
I have always wanted to understand the motive behind the actions of terrorists. If I could, I would pick their brains to understand why they would like to destroy the lives of millions of people that have done nothing to them. Dorothy May Mercer's E M P Honeymoon made me realize that one of the reasons for this could be a desire for power.
Tom and Kelly fall into an unintentional trap in E M P Honeymoon. This trap is both a blessing and a curse in disguise because they uncovered a terrorist group's plans to attack America, which ruined their honeymoon. Will the sacrifice they made, the time they spent digging for clues, and all the energy they put into trying to get to the root of the matter pay off? Can they save America?
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer provided me with a lot of entertainment and action. I saw a lot of things that I never knew about terrorists. I knew they were power-hungry people, but I was surprised when I saw the amount of work and preparation that goes into their attacks. Let me say that E M P Honeymoon opened my eyes quickly. One other thing that I noticed was that the romance was not heavy in this one, unlike in Cynthia and Dan, a book written by this same author. I was surprised, but that does not mean that I hate it.
What I liked the most in the book were the parts where Cynthia and Sky, a couple from Cynthia and Dan, showed up in this story. The story did not focus on them, but I enjoyed reading about them. I loved their interactions with each other, and the times they got to work. I do not know what it is about those two that make me smile and want to dance around.
The author edited this book exceptionally. I have noticed that she does this to all her books. I also liked everything about E M P Honeymoon. I did not have a reason to dislike it, which is good news. I give E M P Honeymoon a rating of four out of four stars because I liked everything about it.
E M P Honeymoon is a book about terrorists and heroes. It shows some of the ways that terrorist groups organize themselves. It also shows some of the ways that heroes without capes organize themselves. It shows what a struggle between these two groups looks like. If you like books that show these things, I recommend E M P Honeymoon to you.
