Review of Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat

[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Tension quickly escalates when some valuable items get stolen at the museum in Sri Lanka. Inca, Cara, Fromage, and Charlotte the hamster are on a vacation with their mum on the same island. This sounded like a case to solve for Inca, the detective cat, who never backed down from a challenge. When Terrance (their dog friend) arrived with Solo (his master) from London to crack the case, Inca and Co embarked on an unforgettable adventure with the help of their new friends, Rana and Meena.
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F Kristi is a masterpiece. The characters are brought out beautifully and the rising tempo of the plot makes the reader anticipate what's coming next. Inca plays the detective part perfectly and, together with the help of her siblings and friends, she is unstoppable. The book is fun to read and interesting. The author takes us on a journey throughout the whole island, and one can feel and imagine that he or she is present in the whole encounter.
The illustrations are on another level. They do justice to the book as they make characters and events come alive. They are brought out realistically with a fun splash of colour. Even though the characters have different personalities, they all work together to solve the case. When Fromage sneaks out at night to go into the forest to meet his 'cousins', the leopards, I thought it was very spontaneous and foolish, especially after being warned by Terrance not to. I loved Inca's show of love and courage when she went to look for him in the dense forest regardless of the possible dangers. Terrance's loyalty to Solo is admirable. This is seen when he guards the recovered items until Solo wakes up.
The book is perfectly edited and I did not find any errors. The intricate details provided in every step make the book enjoyable — not forgetting how well illustrated it is. Finding nothing to dislike whatsoever, I rate the book 4 out of 4.
The book is perfect for children beginning from the age of seven who love adventure books.
