[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Good morals and values are important in shaping society. These morals should be taught to children early so that when they grow up they will not be a nuisance to society. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi teaches a lot of morals and values to children. It is also very fun and interesting to read.
The book starts in Sri Lanka, where Inca's human mom had taken her and her siblings. They had a lovely time and got to meet and make new friends. While they were having a good time, an ancient sword was stolen from the museum. Solo was the detective appointed to solve the case, but while he was trying to crack the case, Inca was also trying to solve the case. Is Inca capable of catching the culprit?
What I loved the most was the perspective from which the book was narrated. The author made the narration fun and very engaging. It felt like I was listening to a younger person. The plot and character development were top-notch. This book would be a good adaptation for a movie.
I did not dislike anything in this book. It was entertaining and captivating. These adventures were fun to read. My favorite scene was the part where Inca was faced with the huge python. I was scared for her. I was really happy for her when she escaped the python. The inclusion of pictures in this book is a good idea. It will help the children have a good image in their heads while reading.
I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was entertaining and contained a bit of suspense. There were no errors in this book, which shows that it was exceptionally well edited. There were no profanity or sexual scenes in this book. I recommend this book to children.
