Review of Man Mission

[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
If you're a traveler, a man, or a lover of fiction and great stories then Man Mission by Eytan Uliel will be the perfect book for you.
It's about four Australian men, who are still in college who travel to one country per year. The idea was originally conceived by two of the men in response to boredom and their dissatisfaction with their early career lives. Soon this became an annual tradition and it was ultimately attended by the 4 men over the course of fifteen years. Each trip was governed by the " Man Mission Charter." These rules mandate adventure and pushing beyond one's limits, and also no luxuries are allowed. This is their manifesto which is included in their " Man Mission." A pink bracelet, which is their version of " the sisterhood of traveling pants " is also included in their manifesto. The book is multi-faceted.
In their travels, they visit countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Fiji, South Africa, Iceland, Spain, Peru, and the UK. They meet various people with different cultures and backgrounds and the experiences they have here gives them insight and perspective into their own individual lives.
What I enjoyed about this book is that it's very well written and easy to follow. The way the book started immediately got me interested and wanting to read more. It also gives insight into my own life and it will probably resonate with other readers as well.
The book is divided into three chapters and ends with a chapter called " Home ". The author is honest in his introspection and the book can also be seen as a possible memoir.
The travels these four men go on are crazy, but also rewarding. The dialogue between them is rich and filled with many things ranging from manly macho to candid vulnerability.
I didn't find anything too negative about the book and enjoyed reading it. The book is professionally written and well-edited. The narration is also clear. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4
I would recommend this book to a variety of readers. Starting with men. People who are adventurous and love to travel, and people who like to interact with different cultures would also enjoy reading this book. It might give insight into your personal life as it did with the men and me. Women could also enjoy reading this book as it gives perspective into the male mind, which is simple and complex.
