Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula

[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
Cats and dogs have always been humans' most fabulous friends. They love and protect their owners. When this is reciprocated, it makes them an inseparable part of the family. With their level of intelligence, they could become more than mere pets.
Inca, her friends, and their human mom, Missy, go on a trip to South Korea. Missy was invited to be one of the judges of a French patisserie competition organized by a reputable French cookery school, 'Le Cordon Bleu,' in Seoul, South Korea. She finally got an opportunity to display her unique cheese creation and do some sightseeing. On arrival, the cheese gets missing. Inca and her detective team swung into action to recover the lost cheese. They also learned that their host, Ye-Jun, and his lovely dog, Baram, had been separated from Ji and Bo-Mi, Ye Jun's sister and her Korean cat. They deploy strategies to help them be together without jeopardizing the peace between North and South Korea. Reading this book will show you how they went about their detective work and if they solved each of these problems.
Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is number eight in the Inca book series. It follows the story of Inca but can be read as a stand-alone book. The content is fantastic, and its presentation is superb. Right from the cover page, it holds the attention of children. This book could pass as a bedtime story book for children. The illustrations by Jorge Valle were beautiful. It was depicted perfectly, making it colorful and eye-catching. The language used by the author was simple and understandable. Kristi used real animal attributes to build the characters. For example, the cats were beautiful, passionate, and lovely. Missy also represented who an ideal cat owner should be: intelligent and caring.
What I loved most about this book is that it is suitable and can be enjoyed by children and adults. Their detective and sightseeing adventures were exciting. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula hold a lot of lessons for children on friendship, family, and teamwork.
There's nothing I didn't like about this book. It was well-written. I commend the editor, Melanie Lopata, for delivering an excellent job as I didn't find any errors in this book. It earned a perfect rating of four out of four stars. I recommend it to children and adult lovers of books on adventure and detective stories.
