[Following is a volunteer review of "The First Time Father" by Thomas Alfie.]
[/i]The First Time Father is the perfect book by Thomas Alfie for anyone who aspires to become a father. Alfie navigates through first trimester and screaming babies and wives with odd cravings. The First Time Father comes in three parts. Part 1 entails of what to do from conception to each trimester and finally to Labour and delivery. These are the essential parts . Part two involves the New Dad survival kit. Pulls you through what to do with the car seat and icky diapers, bonding with and feeding your baby. Part three, is the simplest and shortest but not the easiest, it has to do with coaching the child and managing finances among many others. This book is a very good recommendation for any person who wishes to become a parent especially for men. My favourite part is when he describes what happens with a hungry wife. Most mothers are bound to be completely different and I believe our author has enough experience and now gives advice to fellow males. " Feed that woman or she will eat your face". A very humorous sentence but not to be taken lightly. His use of language is very calm and not so solemn and cross. The tonation used is almost as though one was having a conversation with a friend. This book can be used by fathers who already have more than one child but wish to perfect their parenting with the tips and tricks provided by Thomas in this book. I rate this book a 4 out of 4.
