Of the Earth by Kim Cousins is a Christian fiction novel that adequately covers unique aspects like love, profound faith, family, genuine friendships, trials, hardship, and divine miracles. This remarkable novel narrates the trials and tribulations tackled by Christians and those who persistently refuse to receive the distinctive mark of the New World. This book starts by showing a man discovered by the peacekeepers without the sign of the New World and tragically lost his life for not bearing the mark. It is placed either on the hand or the forehead. It served as a ticket to purchasing anything from a government-sanctioned business. Follow the story of those who refused to be marked as they overcome various challenges, trials, and ordeals to survive the New World and maintain their faith in God.

The author’s vivid descriptions efficiently reflected the views and way of thinking about the existing bond between people and their animals. Animals can talk to one another in this book but cannot communicate with people similarly. The author effectively captured the loyalty between dogs and their owners and sufficiently covered the need for them to protect their keepers. Several bizarre things happened in the duration before the New World paralyzed the United States. These included; a global pandemic, Asteroids, volcanos erupting, and massive earthquakes causing the death of many people and the rise of the New World. The peacekeepers claimed they were rounding up individuals found without the mark and detaining them to processing centers for training and rehabilitation. Discover what happened to the unmarked people captured by the New World.

Jim and his companions, Carl and Mattie, desperately trying to run from the New World, ended up in a valley where they made new connections and friendships. People in the valley maintain farms that sustain them. However, some are tired of living in the valley and want to possess the luxuries they formerly had. Will these people be able to make it to the conquered cities ruled by the New World and occupy the lives they anxiously desire? This book is captivating and attention-grabbing from start to end. There are no disadvantageous aspects registered.

The book was quite well-edited, and the reviewer detected few grammatical errors. The storyline was well- thought out. There exists a chronological flow of events. Of the Earth is highly entertaining and provides a pleasant characterization and plot. I thus rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars.

This novel is suitable for children, the youth, and everyone who enjoys reading Christian novels or faith-based books. It is especially well-suited to those inclined to appreciate the Bible and religion. Generally speaking, this book would be an exciting and enjoyable read for those who enjoy fiction books.
