Smart love by Vincent Fudge II is an inspirational and self-help book. Edward is married to Ebony, with two beautiful children; Elizabeth and Elijah. Edward is charged for domestic violence. He spends forty-seven hours in jail, where he gives himself time to figure out what he has done. He wants to fix his ruined marriage life, and comes up with ways to solve it. And that is how the SMART love project comes into action. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound goals.

Relationships do involve arguments, right? A healthy relationship is maintained when one figures out the ways to tackle and handle those misunderstandings. I believe that there is no such thing called ‘a perfect relationship’. Everybody makes mistakes. Every single person has certain flaws. Ultimately, what matters is how the couple gets through all the odds and barriers that were put forth. In this book, the author provides the solutions to tackle those obstacles. Smart love consists of 12 chapters, in which the author solves each problem every month. For better comprehension, every situation is explained with relevant examples.

I particularly liked the examples which included Jack and Jill, in the beginning of the book. It was relatable and the author has emphasized on the importance of involvement of both the partners for a successful relationship. I like that the book contains lots of experiments and exercises to follow to fix the relationship or to maintain a healthy relationship. I like how the narrator admitted his mistakes and violence. He accepted his flaws and still strived hard to make it work for the sake of his family.

There is no such thing that I dislike because it has pragmatic possibilities to lead a peaceful life. This book fulfilled its whole purpose of assisting people in resolving the problems that rise in their relationships and the methodology to intercept them.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is written in an exemplary way with no errors in spelling and is well-edited. I did not find any typographical or grammatical errors. It is written in a simple language.

I recommend it to married people who want to work on their problems in their relationships. Even if you are single or unmarried, this book would help you in the future.Smart love also helps to reconsider a couple’s separation in case they are on the brink of getting divorced. On the whole, it is quite a delightful read.
