Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula
I never knew children's books were this exciting to read about. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is one of those books that offers the reader a mix of fun and mystery. This book is about Inca, a Siberian cat, and her team of other animals trying to solve mysteries.
Missy, the Inca humanoid mom, is invited by a French cookery school to be one of the four judges of a cooking contest in South Korea. The contest was organized to encourage peaceful relations around the Korean Peninsula. Inca and her team all travel to South Korea with Missy. They met Ye-Jun, who was their tour guide, and his dog, Baram. On their tour, they noticed that the government regulations in the country had separated Ye-Jun and Baram from Ji (Ye-Jun's sister), who was living in North Korea with Bo-Mi (her cat). Get a copy of this book to find out if Inca and her team help Ye-Jun and Baram reunite with their loved ones.
This was an entertaining book to read. It has a fascinating storyline. I liked that the author used simple and concise words. It made this book easy to understand. The illustrations in this book were colorful and expressive, which made me enjoy the book more. The characters were expressed perfectly. The book explores themes like teamwork, braveness, and friendship. The setting was realistic. This book would be a perfect idea for an animated movie.
I found no negative aspects in this book. I learnt a lot of moral lessons from this book. I learnt how important it is to work as a team and do what is right. Some of the members of the team were Fromage, Cara, Charlotte, and Terrance. My favorite characters were Fromage and Terrance. They showed a courageous personality, which made me like them. My favorite scene was when they stopped Missy's rival, Enzo, from sabotaging her.
This was a very exciting book to read. I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I detected no errors in this book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to people who love reading children's books and mystery stories.
