[Following is a volunteer review of "Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula" by R.F. Kristi.]
This is a book about Inca and her crew. This time, she journeys to Korea to solve another mystery. To learn more about Inca's adventure, read Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi.
Inca, the super-duper detective cat, had to go to Korea because her human mum, Missy, was to serve as a judge in a cooking competition. While on the way, they came across an old friend of Missy's, Enzo, who tried to steal her special cheese. The intervention of Inca, Fromage, and Terrance the dog helped in catching Enzo and stopping him from stealing the special cheese. On arrival in South Korea, they met Baram the dog, who was sad because his sister, Bo-Mi, was separated from him. Inca and her investigative crew set out on a mission to reunite Baram with Bo-Mi. Will Inca succeed?
This book was entertaining and interesting to read. This book was written in a way that is capable of capturing a child’s whole attention. The events, tussle, and action were very interesting. The writing style was well-paced and very engaging. I loved the fact that this book was interesting and also contained valuable morals that would benefit the children. This book featured themes such as cooperation, teamwork, kindness, and honesty. This book also contains attractive and colorful pictures, which will bring the story to life and help the children picture the events in this book vividly.
I feel some characters mentioned in this book were irrelevant, as they played little or no role at all in it. Also, I feel that some words used will be difficult for younger children to understand, thus reducing the number of readers who can enjoy this book.
Irrespective of what I disliked about this book, I will still rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because of the great storyline and the load of morals children can learn from reading this book. This book did not contain any errors. It was exceptionally well edited. I recommend this book to children between the ages of 7 and 12 years. Children below the age of seven may find some words in this book difficult to understand.
