[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is part of the Inca Book Series but can also be read as a standalone. As always, the book did not disappoint and was very educational and interesting. The Inca detective company is in it again to solve a mystery, this time in Sri Lanka.
The book is ninety-five pages of absolutely thrilling and informative text. Inca, the queen of kitties, is head of the detective agency and, although snoopy as always, she does not disappoint.
The company is in Sri Lanka this time for a well-deserved holiday. As always, they make new friends, including the baby elephant, her mom, and the turtle. An antique sword is stolen from the museum, and Inca, being the snoopy cat she is, can't help getting involved. Will they rise to the challenge and solve this crime? Do the suspicious-looking neighbors have anything to do with it? To find out, get yourself a copy of this amazing book.
First and foremost, I applaud the editors of the book for a job well done as I didn't find any errors in the book. This added to the overall beauty of the book. Like all the other books in the series, the illustrations are marvelous. I always look forward to them because they are works of art. This will capture the imagination of the reader. I also loved how the book passes along the message of teamwork and other important virtues, such as how stealing is wrong. Another strength of the book is how the characters are well developed and introduced systematically.
I did not find anything in particular to dislike about the book, and I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars as I believe it to be excellent and educational for children. I recommend the book to kids and those who enjoy reading children's books.
