AUDIO BOOK REVIEW
Listening to Looking Glass Friends by E.L Neve was a nightmarish experience. The narration, performed by the author was excellent. With a harmonic yet distinctive voice, the author made it easy to differentiate between the characters. Her reading style brings the text to life and makes one feel as though they are part of the cast. With good pacing, while reading through's easy for one to follow through with her narration.

The story follows Neil and Ellie who are in a loveless and unfulfilling marriage. Neil is married to Fay while Ellie is married to Jake. Ellie met Neil at a local bakery where Neil worked at. She had gone to buy her five-year-old son cream puffs, On this day for some reason, Neil decides to give her his secret stash of cream puffs.

As a sign of gratitude, Ellie decides to gift Neil with a book. Ayn Rand's novel, Atlas Shrugged. They would later exchange emails and start discussing the book. But in a span of a few emails, they discover that they complete and understand each other in a much more different way. Both of them find solace in each other's knowledge and wit.

This would mark the beginning of a slow-burning romance between them. As emails turned to calls. An undeniable love that would greatly affect their marriages, but how much more would one sacrifice for happiness and love?. Will Ellie and Neil give up on their marriages for each other?. E.L Neve narrates to us all this taking us to step through their love journey.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic relationships and anyone who has ever experienced one of those long-distance relationships.

I rate this book with a 4 out of 4 stars for the excellent narration done by the author and for making it so easy to know as she moved from chapter to chapter. It was also easy to know as she moved from one character to the other.
