[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a fiction book centered on the life of four young men. The novel is about four friends still in college and about to begin life in the real world. After graduating from university, these four friends go their separate ways, and after one year, one of the friends, Sam, remembers their dream and contacts the others to put Man's mission into action. The friends organized annual adventures to specific destinations. They traveled from one location to another by hiking, biking, or kayaking. The journey was daring, dangerous, exciting, and entertaining, although they sustained injuries sometimes.
The four friends traveled through New Zealand, where they hitched a ride with drug dealers, down kava shots on Fijian beaches, and met with roaring lions in South Africa. Then, luxuriated in a resort intended only for Vietnamese, they went ice climbing in Iceland. Alongside, they get married, start families, establish careers and do everything upright men are supposed to do. The book captures their friendship and bonding, and the author twists their different lives effortlessly together as friends seek meaning and direction in their lives when they travel together.
The positive aspect of this book is how exciting it is. The book can be easily read and flows well. The narration is illustrative and accurate, making the scenes vivid. The language used is simple and understandable. The narrative is also filled with laughter and fun. I found the adventures more exciting and intriguing to the point that I wished I was there. It is interesting to note how these four lads go through their everyday lives and break the monotony of their routine by going on annual trips to exciting locations and doing something out of their comfort zone. The story is accurate; readers can relate to the author's words. The book is honest. It shows the lifelong bond these four friends share despite the different circumstances they go through in their lives.
I disliked nothing about this book. It was well written and edited, and I did not find any grammatical errors or typos.
I am glad to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars since it is fascinating, enjoyable, and well written.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves great stories and enjoys adventures. Also, it will be a good read for anyone who enjoys fiction, as Man Mission will not be disappointed.
