Cynthia had married Sky, the love of her life. While at work, she got an interesting call from her boss. Cynthia learned that Kelly had frantically made a call to him, and he did not know what to make of that. She sounded like she was in danger. Upon further inquiry, Cynthia discovered that not only was Kelly in danger, but the whole of the United States was also in danger. A terrible dictator everyone calls "Dear Leader" was planning an attack on the US. He would use an EMP to cripple the nation, after which his forces would invade and take over their lives, lands, and freedom. Cynthia could not let this happen. Tom, Kelly's husband, was a cop, but he was no match for the battalion of terrorist warriors willing to die to fulfill their mission. Cynthia, Kelly, and Tom would have to think of a way to stop these guys before they destroy their lives. Will they come out of this nightmare okay and sound? Will their plan work?

Dorothy May Mercer's E M P Honeymoon is a terrorist fiction novel. I do not know if there is a genre like this for real, but I call it that because I have noticed that the bulk of Dorothy May Mercer's novels focuses on that subject. It is always Americans fighting terrorists and defending their land from the clutches of those vile bunches of people. I am not complaining, though. I liked that she found a subgenre and stuck to it. It gave an air of predictability to her books, yet they remained interesting. I cannot explain how this happened, but it is what I loved the most out of everything in E M P Honeymoon.

The one thing I liked the least was how untrained the terrorist leader tasked with setting off the EMP was. She was caught slacking on so many occasions. It was ridiculous how clueless she was in the book. If not that Dorothy May Mercer had added other parts that made the book worth reading, I would never have finished reading this book.

On the one hand, I disliked the clueless general; on the other hand, I had a swell time reading the rest of the novel. It was worth it, and I believe it will be the same for you. E M P Honeymoon was also edited exceptionally. I will subtract one star because of how horrible and amateurish the character was. It did not make sense that a highly ranked officer would behave as cluelessly as the subject of my criticism. It was just not right. I therefore give E M P Honeymoon a rating of three out of four stars. My only dislike is not enough to rate it lower than that.

I recommend E M P Honeymoon to readers that love Dorothy May Mercer's many books. If you love her books, then you love books about combating terrorists. E M P Honeymoon will keep your mind busy with thoughts of the many adventures that it will take you on.
