The book Seeking...Finding...Healing by Becky Lu Jackson is a non-fiction self-help book, a complete guide to self-directed inner family healing. This book is specifically about the author's personal experience, and the past traumas that affected her life, as she suffered from alcohol, eating, and drug addiction. In her younger selves, she created old beliefs, immature beliefs, immature attitudes about how the world works, and that affected her life drastically. She wanted to heal and make peace with her past, and she came up with visualization techniques for self-discovery. She made a step-by-step visualization guide through meditation to connect with her younger selves to deeply understand her suffering and find solutions to all of her pains. She imagined her younger selves through visualization to also connect with her future selves. The author wrote about building trust between us and our younger selves, as they have to trust us (future selves) to be the wise, comforting, protecting parents they always yearned for. In that way, our younger selves will comfortably open up to us about their feelings and emotions, as we will be the loving parents to our inner selves. There is a foundation building which has seven major benefits which helps the author to increase her commitment and to set boundaries. The author used meditation and visualization to find healing, creativity, and peace. The author assures the readers that, with meditation, they will improve their health, emotionally, physically, and even spiritually.

What I liked about this book was how the author wanted us as readers to create our own concept of God in our heads,  if either we want to experience God as personal and all powerful or as distant and not concerned with our everyday life? Coming across this part on page 64, I automatically started to create my own God concept as powerful and protective of me. To be honest, as I created my own concept of God, I feel very different than before because I know I am protected by him; it got really personal for me. The author used her real-life story to take us into her life experience, and I can say there is a lot I can relate with. What I also liked about the book is how it is so educational and its practical guidelines that can help people toward their healing journey. I liked how the book was so descriptive and detailed, and also its simplicity.

There is nothing that I did not like about the book. The book was great and well-written. The book contains very helpful guidelines that assist people in discovering themselves. I did not find any typos or mistakes in the book. It is professionally edited. I have enjoyed reading this book a lot, as I also learnt and discovered things I didn't think could help me.

The author's book is a masterpiece of simplicity. I liked how she presented her message more clearly. The book is thought-provoking as it contains very important and interesting ideas. As a result, I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I would recommend this book to individuals who would like to start their healing journey, and make peace with their history. I would also recommend this book to individuals who have been through a lot and would want to end their pain.
