The book The War of the Cha'cict was written by Terrence E. Scottts. This book talks about a man named Jared, who enrolled in the army to fight against the invasion of aliens against the earth. He was a man who always felt his contributions were not really impactful and couldn't help with the current situation that was before them. Immediately, he understood the importance of the mission and how his involvement was going to help humanity.

Jared Cornell was a minimal corporal who was drafted into the military to help fight against the invasion of the alien enemy. The alien enemy called the cha'cict attacked the Amalgamated Planets' outer colonies without warning. During a fight to retake an occupied colony, Jared was fatally infected by a virus from a cha'cict bioweapon. At this point, his only hope of survival was for him to deliver critical intelligence to the military headquarters in exchange for being put in a low temperature suspension until a cure could be found. Unfortunately, an enemy war vessel was after his nearly collapsed ship, as if that wasn't enough, the ship was affected by a cosmic asteroid, which was the cause of its nearly collapsing. His time was really running out. He wondered which would get him first. He couldn't endure the prolonged, painful symptoms as he succumbed to the alien virus. Will Jared survive?

This book is really one of a kind.it's been a very long time since I read a book that's all about science fiction action adventure stories.it was kind of difficult in digesting, but it had a way of getting to the reader's view on exploring all the psychological effects of facing life or death situation on every turn. Each decision or thought is another sequence in Jared's mortality and will impact the safety and survival of the earth and possibly the universe. The book also takes the reader through an unexpected twist. The book left the reader's with a lot of questions in mind. Will Jared be able to survive from his sickness and be able to fight against the aliens or will they get him?.

I found this book to be more of a science fiction story which was kind of fascinating. It wasn't perfect but was a little enjoyable with its minor flaws. The words used were not easy to understand some things were also overly emphasized in some aspect.

I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was a fun book but likely not a series I would love to continue. This book is exceptionally edited and void of errors. I would advise only those into sci-fi series to access this book. And also if you are really curious about space marines I will as well recommend this book for you.
