The book,A Systems Thinking Decision Making Process,by Vincent P Barabba,is an amazing piece of literature that provides a comprehensive and indepth approach to decision making while also seeking the improvement of existing approaches.Inspired by the author's 60 year career in both the private and public sectors, the book gives a sketch of an inquiry center, learning and support system which you can design for your enterprise by addressing and acting on the given capabilities.

What I like about the book was how the author focuses on the developement of an experience-based approach to decision making, drawing insights from his background in the private and public institutions. It is also quite entertaining, following the structure of his writing and the regular use of direct speech and quotes relieves a reader from the narrative aspect of the writing. It is impossible to lose focus when reading on how intellect informs data analysis and not the other way around.

I found nothing to dislike. The books is well professionally edited except for a few, more like miniscule ,misspelled words and even with that I still rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend this book to practioners in both the public and private institutions, regardless of the area of specialization as it provides an all round approach to decision making. The use of information and research to designing a decision making process provided by the author can be generalized as is seen in his experiences in various sectors, from political campaigns to engineering.
