Missy was invited to be a judge at a friendly cook-off between South Korea and North Korea. Missy was a human, and Inca, her sneaky feline baby, was a cat. Inca was famous for her ability to lead and think under pressure. She was also known for her good heart and desire to help the helpless. Unsurprisingly, she offered to sneak into North Korea to reunite Bo-Mi with Baram and Ji with Ye-Jun. This easy mission that could be completed in a matter of minutes could quickly become dangerous in a blink of an eye. Will Missy lose Inca because she just wanted to help? How bad or how good will Inca’s plan go?

R.F. Kristi’s Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is one of nine books in which Inca was a star. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is not a book that focuses on the silly antics done by house pets. It is a book that tells a story that is eligible to be made into a movie. It would be one movie I would watch at any time.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula captured my heart with the humor in it. I happen to like this humor the most in the book. Inca’s thoughts about everything made me laugh. It was so funny how she described her encounter with the being she was supposed to rescue in North Korea. I will not recount that experience here. Please read the book for yourself if you are curious enough.

I also liked its length. I know that books written for really young readers are usually short. However, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula was not too short and not too long. It was the right length. It had a little over 90 pages. This ensured that the story and fun went on for a little longer than usual in such books. I am a huge fan of fascinating pet mystery novellas.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula gave me something to keep my mind busy for a few hours. Despite reading it more than twice, I ended up not disliking anything about it. It was also edited professionally. That counts positively towards its rating. By virtue of the fact that I did not dislike anything, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

I recommend Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula to huge pet lovers. If you own a dog or a cat and love that fluffy being to the moon and back, read Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula to see a distant fictional cousin of theirs in action. To my mind, R.F. Kristi also wrote this book to benefit young readers above three but below 12. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is the perfect book to get them excited about non-superhero characters.
