[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel gives an account of the yearly adventures of four Men. Alec, Sam, C'mon, and Daniel were great friends and husbands to Natalia, Evie, Rachel, and Pamela respectively. Both Sam and C'mon had three children, while Daniel had two. Alec and Natalia, we're expecting their first child. They made fifteen yearly vacations to various parts of the world. They made trips to New Zealand, Tokyo, Fiji, Andalusia, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Hawaii, Taiwan, Peru, Iceland, and South Africa. Likewise, they engaged in activities such as trekking, Ice climbing, aurora hunting, safari walks, and kayaking. C'mon endured injuries like losing toenails, torn knee ligament, and a burning sensation in his Penis. They had assigned roles to each other to ensure the success of their adventures. They had a hard time balancing their family needs, office work, and vacation. To them, enduring more problems was heroic and proved their manhood. C'mon took a new job unwillingly to meet his family's needs. This wasn't in line with the Law degree he acquired from the university. However, he considered it a brave act. Their adventures are very enjoyable and act as a relief from working and providing for their families. Despite the challenges in their missions, they still went back home safe and sound.
The novel uses well-illustrated maps that help to integrate the activities in each of the adventures. It also creates a clear mental picture and enhances the contemplation of events. Furthermore, short paragraphs make it interesting and easy to read. Dialogues are clear and precise, which eliminates possible confusion of characters. A summary of events in each trip is provided in the book, which makes it easy to follow along. This portrays the author's excellence in writing. The flow of the book is superb, and the mistakes are negligible. The author has also included quotes from respectable people like Albert Camus, Theophrastus, and Mark Twain. The quotes motivated me to read through the book.
I didn't find any substantial fault in the author's work. There isn't any deterrence to understanding the contents of the book.
The author's dedication and excellence in writing this book are commendable. Especially on drawing one's attention to continue reading the book. His writing skills are unique and captivating as well. I, therefore, rate this book 4 out of 4.
The book is well suited to fathers and young men. It will help young men to appreciate the benefits of true friendship, work, and adventure. Fathers will be challenged to prove their manhood and assess the consequences of their choices.
