Seeking... Finding... Healing... by Becky Lu Jackson was about healing from past traumas and becoming a better version of yourself. There are so many things that people go through at different stages of life. In each stage one goes through, they encounter some challenges and baggage that, when one is not careful, they end up moving to the next stage of their lives with. So, you find that by the time a person is grown, they have so much baggage that they cannot have joy and happiness in their lives.

In the book, the author advises that journaling and meditating are two of the ways through which one can begin the healing process. The author herself had to go through these processes that she wrote about for her to get to where she is now and to a point where she could write a book and swear by it. She started her healing process from the time she was a little girl, below eighteen years of age. She would write letters to her younger self and vice versa.

It was a very informative book. I liked it because I could relate to it. Some of the techniques the author mentioned I have used and experienced before, and they worked. So, she is not talking about things from her imagination, but about practicable things and methods. I also liked the fact that she gave a disclaimer that for this book to work on someone, you first have to read it. Then, after you’ve comprehensively grasped it, you can now begin to read it from the perspective of seeking healing to find it.

I did not spot any grammatical or editorial errors in the book, which led me to believe that the book was well written and well edited. In addition to that, I do not have anything negative to say about the book because I did not spot any negative things about it. I liked how it was simple to read and straight to the point.

I’d like to give the book a 4 out of 4 stars rating because I enjoyed it and learned a lot from it. The book had clear, literal illustrations that made it easy to read and understand. I also liked how the author made herself vulnerable in the book as she used her real-life examples and situations to put across her point. This, in a way, also made me, as a reader, establish a trustful connection with the author. I would like to recommend this book to people who are hurting or those who have undergone some trauma in their lives.
