[Following is a volunteer review of "The Date Farm" by Jack Winnick.]
The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is yet another fascinating and mind-blowing novel in the Lara and Uri series. This book seems so different from the rest. Imagining two couples in the field fighting off these heartless terrorists came with a lot of emotions.
The fun time Lara and Uri were having at her parents' house as a couple was cut short by a call from the top of the bureau. The news left them shocked as they made haste for the airport. The blast at the Beverly Hills mall made the news as a lot of people lost their lives and many more were injured. Still, on that, President Fijazi was excited about this news and thanked Sheikh Abidin, who was in charge of this operation. The next attack Fijazi had in mind left Sheikh in shock as it was massive. It targeted the Federal Reserve and the Chase Manhattan Bank. Security agencies were on alert as they learned about the terrorist plans. Greg from Homeland Security has provided the necessary information. The terrorist had gained access to the building, so the day of the attack had arrived. They avoided the gold vault as they knew it would be the target. How would this fight go? Would they be able to detect the terrorist trick on time? Grab a copy to get the action.
I was so caught up in this book that my mouth was wide open in awe of the action. This book was so full of life. I read this book in anticipation of more. I loved how Lara and Uri were so passionate about their profession. Making sure they saw the end of these terrorists was their top priority, which could be shown in how they responded quickly to emergencies and how they came up with mind-blowing ideas. This book could be a motivation for all women who feel being a field agent is an awkward profession or job. Lara is a remarkable woman who has accomplished much in her career. This book's narration was so captivating. Jack Winnick's writing has been so easy to understand and unique, starting with the first book in the series. I can't wait to read the next book.
This book is so exciting. However, reading about Lara and Uri, who are now a couple working on the same dangerous mission, felt so insensitive to me and could also affect the mission though it was an intriguing twist. Aside from this, the book was faultless as I detected no errors while reading.
I recommend this book to lovers of crime thrillers. Those who are in the force would also find this book interesting. This book deserves a 4 out of 4 stars rating because what has been said is insufficient to deduct any stars.
