Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book all about planning for retirement. This book covers all aspects as well as things to consider, decisions to make, and goals to strike before reaching the age of 65. A ripe age where retirement starts knocking at your door. In order not to get estranged, this book provides detailed guidelines. Have a look!

In this book, the author covered so many topics which, I am glad I didn't skim through. He covered the importance of planning and the importance of having fun before retirement. It isn't enough to wait till you are retired to have fun. Why don't you join clubs? Why don't you sign up for groups? Why don't you travel the world? Oh! And don't forget to get your life and health insurance, as you might need it. In terms of career, Alan says it doesn't matter the age you are right now. It doesn't matter if you're 20, 30, 45, or 50. Peradventure you don't like your current career, why don't you go for what suits you best? Maybe what you love, that thing that brings out that passion, why don't you? Life is too short to be toiling away at something you don't care for or enjoy doing. Don't you think?

What I deeply enjoyed about this book is the author's sense of humor. You simply can't get enough of it. When he's making a point and suddenly starts digressing, his remarks are so funny that you'll want to keep reading. I think it's so nice and refreshing to read a book that helps you plan against retirement days, and also makes you laugh in the process. There were other things I learned from this book also. Before reading this book, I thought the only kind of insurance available are life insurance and health insurance. This book proved me wrong. In this book, you will find topics like term insurance, whole life insurance, universal life insurance, burial insurance, 401(k), 539 plans, and others.

This book reading requires a reader's full attention or might get lost in the book, and won't understand what the author's driving at. Mind you, when you get confused, it's pretty difficult to get back on track. This is one thing I didn't admire about the book. And also, to be able to read this book and understand it, get your browsing source ready. Or just forget about it. Why? You might find it boring. Why? There are so many deep topics in this book that could get you staring at it if you don't understand. Besides this, I found this book informative. And I appreciate the references and tests provided. They were indeed helpful.

I, therefore, rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I believe it's well deserved for my rating. This book is exceptionally well edited with no trace of typos, and it's informative. I recommend it to lovers of nonfiction and those who want to reconfigure their lives. It's not too late!
