The thirteen chapters of Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer broadly discussed the importance of early retirement planning.

The author used his knowledge in the financial service field to explain early retirement planning in America. Elan noted that in disability insurance, one has to make sure it is personal and not that of a group to avoid loss in the future. He also explained that in securing a career, one has to find a hobby or an enjoyable job to do. This book also disclosed the loopholes in the pension system in America. Nobody wants to end up in a sad position at 65, still working a boring job that pays a meager sum. The author disclosed several ways to avoid such situations. The author, who is a financial consultant, and financial planner, had buttressed the reason for planning in advance for one's retirement in this nonfiction book.

The topic of discussion in this book was boring, but the author had his way of encouraging the reader to keep going. The added jokes and random appreciations in the book were necessary. I recall that at some point, I wanted to stop reading the book, but then, in the next chapter, the author was very grateful that I had gotten that far with the book. The author wrote the book in a friendly manner, and it seemed as if I was having an educative conversation with a close friend.

I'm 20 years old at the moment, and it just seemed like I was of the perfect age to read this book. The author thought this book was more suitable for adults from age 30 to 50, but I think this book should be read by every young adult from as low as 20 years old. The author also included helpful tests to take before going for a job interview. Those tests would help one decide what field to work in and also tell one the fields to avoid. Some of the tests were accurate, and some were not. I like when books are brief and simple to read, and that is what this one is. The author's choice of words also appealed to me, and I did not have a problem with the book's formatting.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. I had deep thoughts while reading this book, and I also found it to be exceptionally well-edited.

This book deserves a rating of four out of four stars. This book is enlightening and interesting to read. I would recommend this book to young adults and people who haven't been informed about early retirement planning.
