[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
Unplanned retirement has been an issue plaguing the American working population of today. This issue has left thousands, if not millions of retired Americans stranded with nothing relevant to do than waste their time on non-profitable activities. The working population of America is also filled with a lot of personnel that do not enjoy or feel any attachment to their jobs. This fact can be quite harmful in certain ways to the individual concerned.
Reconfigurement by Alan Fleischauer is a masterpiece that analyzes the prolonged age expectancy of the 21st century average American and it's effect on life after retirement. In its thirteen chapters, Reconfigurement takes an in-depth look at the dissatisfaction of most Americans with their careers and how an informed tweak to certain daily activities could go a long way in ensuring an enjoyable after-retirement life. It brings to light the place of insurances and financial planning in the life of the working American and outlines several measures that can be taken to ensure such individuals enjoy every bit of their pre- and post-retirement lives. Ever wondered if personal and workplace insurances were worth striving for? This book provides answers in detail to such question and other similar questions.
I really enjoyed every detail of this book. The author utilized a lot of user friendly informalities to convey his message and ensured that paragraphs were direct to the point to avoid boring the readers with unnecessary details. The author also included a list of other helpful books and resources to clarify any other issues the readers might encounter in the process of reading the book. The book was also professionally proofread and edited, although there was a typographical error or two. This however did not impede my reading and I learnt a lot of practical lessons from the book.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was that the pages were not numbered to enable ease of navigation. This aside, I enjoyed every other bit of the book.
Reconfigurement by Alan Fleischauer is an awesome book and I would gladly rate it 4 out of 4 stars. This is because the book was quite interesting and informative with minimal errors.
I would strongly recommend this book to people having a hard time planning on retirement or feeling dissatisfied with their present jobs. This book would aid in answering some of the questions and providing an informed guideline to those interested in enjoying life before retirement.
