Review of E M P Honeymoon

E M P Honeymoon is a romantic and crime-fighting book by Dorothy May Mercer. Dorothy May Mercer is an elderly lady who resides in Michigan, USA, with her husband but was born and raised on a farm during the Great Depression. Before becoming a millionaire, Dorothy May Mercer was a poor farm girl who managed to struggle her way through college. She's now not only an entrepreneur and the president of two companies, but she's also a successful writer. She's the author of the famous McBride series, and this book, E M P Honeymoon, is her thirteenth book.
This book, E M P Honeymoon, by Dorothy May Mercer, consists of 277 pages and has 16 chapters. In this novel, two newlyweds—Kelly McBride, later known as Kelly McBride-Turbulo, and Sergeant Tom Turbulo—go to a resort and spa in Shoreline Road, Honduras, to celebrate their honeymoon but wind up finding the stronghold of wanted terrorists. Following a series of amusing occasions, Kelly goes to Pigsty, a gift store, wanting to buy her nephews and nieces a piggy toy. On getting inside the store, she noticed that there weren't any employees, nor was the store as lively as a toy store should be, and decided to look around. But that wasn't the best idea. She ran into six terrorists planning their demise for North America and instinctively understood that the store was their hideout. After running for her life, she calls her brother, Mike McBride, for help. Would Mike make it in time to save Kelly? Or would the plans of the terrorists be successful? Give the book a try and find out.
I must say, this was a beautifully written book. I love how the author, Dorothy, gradually changes the genre from all lovey-dovey to an intense thriller of crime and investigation. I also love the writing style of the author. I adore how meticulously the author writes and how skillfully each chapter begins. The character development and plot twists are also things to commend. The author made the characters as realistic as an actual person could be. And as for the plot twists, you'll be left interested in every plot.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike in this book. It had no errors, nor did it have flaws. It is an exceptionally well-edited book. Instead, I understood that sometimes we are required to do certain things not because we want to but because we need to. After reporting to Kelly's brother, who was the senator, Kelly and Tom could have continued their honeymoon, but they chose what was needed. They placed their need and duty to protect their country before their desire for a honeymoon. It seems like an easy and obvious task, but I'm sure it wasn't.
I wholeheartedly rate this book four out of four stars. As indicated above, the book has no errors and is quite an engaging and captivating story. Thus, it deserves the rating it received.
I highly recommend this book to people who enjoy character development with a pinch of suspense and plot twists. I also recommend this book to those that have read Cynthia and Dan by Dorothy May Mercer.
